As well as ancestor spirits, Kuy believe in other character spirits like that from the monitor lizard (takuat) which they consider for being image of fertility. The Kuy execute ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and request fertility from nature. They might also go ahead and take tail from the lizard to implement in divination ceremonies. T
